Enjoyable Every Time – I am somewhat a regular at the Black Pine. Its outside appearance might seem somewhat ordinary, like a hole in the wall, but it's anything but. The food is full of flavor, from Kake Udon to the Dragon Roll. On Wednesdays, between 11am and 2pm they offer all-you-can-eat California Rolls. The prices are reasonable for a sushi restaurant. Downriver Sushi Bar If you're looking for a real sushi bar downriver and not just the all you can eat, quick assembly kind, this is the place to go. Not a huge restaurant, it has a clean, fresh atmosphere with friendly staff and servers. And speaking of fresh, wait till you taste the wonderful food. sushi I for one have never tried sushi before i tried this restaurant. But i was in for a big surprise. The service here is very good, and can be very helpful if you've never tried any sushi before. They'll even take the time to show you how to eat it. The taste is a little overwhelming but if you're into sushi then you should give this a try. the sashimi i thought was very good.
Uhm for real give this a try...you would be surprised! Good! So we ate here, because it was difficult for us to find a Sushi restaurant downriver. It looks like a hole in the wall. But I was impressed and so was my date. Extremely good where I had to thank the Sushi chef. Some of the best I have had. Goes to show...dont judge a book by its cover!
Ewww – This place is terrible. I used to eat sushi at least once a week when I lived away at school. When I can home one weekend and found a sushi place downriver I was so excited. However, after eating there I was so grossed out I couldn't even think about sushi without wanting to vomit. This place is so gross. Great CA rolls! – I go here a couple of times a month. Always great staff and food! The salad is fresh and they have the best ginger dressing, the miso soup is also great! I love to get the CA combo either #1 or #2. They have about 6 different types of CA rolls which makes every experience different and yummy! You have to try the Burning CA Roll!! It is really spicy but I would have to say this is the best they have! I always bring my friends who are new to sushi, they have all loved it and wanted to go back.
