So, I've been here 5 times in my first 13 days living on the island. The portions are worth it! Even though I tend to spend about $40 so far for each visit. The Red Beans and Rice have lots of Sausage and Ham, a bowl is a bowl! The Shrimp Po Boy was loaded with Shrimp and the Fried Okra is by far the best side to get. I was almost upset that they didn't offer Combo Po Boys, especially since they refuse to make ANY Type of Fried Seafood Platters for Lunch. Great food & great low-key atmosphere! Def recommend! Also...the bread pudding. Omg.
Come hungry, portions are huge. Prices are very affordable, especially considering quantity and quality of the food. The fried mushrooms were probably best I have ever had. Gumbo was tasty, could've been hotter. The blackened snapper with ponchatrain sauce was amazing and huge serving. Sunday service was ok until the 5pm dinner crew showed, then it improved a lot. Great locals place with some tourist that wander in off the Strand

The food portions were huge. We had oysters on the half shell and they were delicious and nice . Can't wait to go back and get one of those huge "poor boys" I saw others getting.
Ohhhh-mazing!! The portion sizes were enormous and the flavors were spot on! Great place.
