I am really sad to have to leave a negative review for the Black Fig. Although everyone I spoke with was very nice and pleasant, unfortunately the food and service forced me to leave this review. My husband and I paid for Black Fig to cater our niece’s September wedding and to provide a charcuterie board for the rehearsal dinner. Ordered the appetizer Mediterranean Hummus Platter with Olive and Feta with Crudité and pita crisps for a dinner party this evening. When my husband went to pick it up, upon arrival there was no one even in the store. We called and waited for 5+ minutes until someone finally showed up. Then the gentleman working could not find the dish . When they finally located it, they handed him a massive vat of hummus. There was no olives. There was no feta. There was no Crudité. I got their mac and cheese. and it tasted like it had refrigerator or freezer burn. I could taste the refrigerator. I was so disappointed because I was really looking forward to it. I’m too scared to go back and get anything else because I threw it out and wasted the money.
The new chef is incredible. The single serve meals are saving my life right now as I try to recover from an injury.
