My first trip to Black Dog BBQ. Highly recommended by friends who've eaten there. I was able to to get the twice smoked brisket burnt ends sandwich and an order of fries. Added the Georgia Peach BBQ sauce as a side to the burnt ends. The BBQ sauce really complimented the brisket. I'm frequently in and out of the C/U area. I see a return visit in the not too distant future!
Absolutely love the food. My only complaint is they need to offer the side of macaroni and cheese daily or at least on the weekends. I was highly disappointed not having that as a choice on my last visit.

Awesome brisket sandwich the green beans are amazing. I really liked the sweet potato fries too. I liked both the Texas sause and the Georgia peach sause. The brew was tasty I forgot the name, but it was similar to Blue Moon.
My favorites are the Texas Caviar and the smoked hot wings - I could make a meal out of that! Delicious food, good service. Kinda my happy place while visiting my son and his sig other in Urbana!
Truly the best BBQ in Illinois. Thank god, my little girl went to the University of Illinois and saved me from what they call BBQ in Chicago.

The food, the ambiance are great. Highly recommended the choice of two or three platters. Ribs were cooked to the bone, delicious.
Loved the cornbread, sweet potato fries, pulled pork, etc. The staff was friendly and food was great! We will be back!
Great place to eat. The chips and salsa are the best around they fry the chips as they are ordered. Had the Cuban sandwich it was really good ant the selection of beers is awesome.
The chips and salsa were great. The BBQ was great. I'd say the only negative of the whole experience was that I didn't have more room to eat more. Lol. Will definitely be back. Thanks! :-)
