Drove 90 minutes one way to eat here on Saturday. We love Black Dog. Our traditional Memorial Day weekend was disrupted and we wanted to do something special. Black Dog was it. Some of the best smoked meat emporiums we’ve been to, and their sauces are all on point. Between two of us we had smoked turkey, smoked sausage, smoked catfish and smoked brisket. Add spicy collards and chipotle slaw and we were in heaven. Plus good beer and a decent whiskey list. Go here. You’ll like it a lot.
The Peach BBQ sauce was amazing as were the wings and bleu cheese burger. The local made iced tea was really good as well!

This was a very pleasant surprise. I made a quick search for BBQ while in the Champaign area and this was one of the first results. Food was well prepared and tasty. A good selection of beers also. Definitely worth a visit.

The que here is CRAZY delicious. We started off with 2 orders of burnt ends. Why two you ask? Because they go FAST. Tender, moist, meaty deliciousness especially with the Georgia peach sauce. We also had had the catfish, ribs, sliced brisket, pulled pork, smoked sweet potatoes, potato casserole and the string beans. Always a great beer selection. We drove 2 hours to get here and ALWAYS worth the trip! BOOM-QUE-TASTIC!!!!! �
Yes! Huge fan of bbq anything and service was excellent!
We went here for the special New Years Eve dinner. We had prime rib, lobster tail, burnt ends, shrimp cocktail, fried peach cobbler with maple cinnamon whip cream. And a couple of special drinks. The food was excellent as well as the service!! We’ve eaten there in the past and have never had anything but excellent service and food. We even had their smoked turkey for Thanksgiving and it was excellent. If you ever get a chance to go I definitely would recommend this place. We will be back for sure
