I love the whole staff at Bite and the food. I've been coming here for years, maybe decades. The food has consistently been fresh, creative, delicious, and yet still comforting. It's the perfect mix of foodie fancy and down to earth goodness. The chef staff consistently surprise me with new specials. Yet, at the same time, give me my favorite dishes with the same quality that I crave. I look forward to Friday night dinner. I dream about the food at this little cafe. I was in Chicago 5 months ago and stayed around the corner from Bite. I ate there the first night in town and could not stop thinking about the smokey, spicy, complex, homey yet sophisticated tastes. Everything was so well considered yet not precious. I'll look for you next time I'm in your fabulous city.
Friday fish fry = amazing! Also had a mulled wine pear with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Awesome all around.
Amazing food and service. Always get the specials if you can, if they're out ask your server for a reco, they've never steered me wrong!
