This an exceptional little French Bistro featuring classic old school Bistro fare. Outstanding execution and presentation; great fresh oysters and the wine list, although small, is extremely well appointed with some beautiful Alsatian and Rhone placements. First time here. Loved the interior. It felt cozy, and like I was somewhere other than TC. The lamb meatballs were awesome,...great oysters. Our server Tim was exceptional and attentive. Can't wait to come back!
I hate giving poor reviews, I almost called to speak with the owner after the experience we had. My group was traveling the Traverse City area yesterday on the Sweet Tooth Tour. Our last stop was Bistro Foufou and I felt unwanted as soon as we walked through the door. It was just after 4:00 and there were 8 of us. When we told the greater why we were there he told us the restaraunt was booked and we would not be able to be seated (the restaraunt was completely empty!!!!). The wine pairing themed dinners are fantastic! Hat's off to the Chef! I will recommend this place to all my friends. I look forward to my next visit.
I just got home from an amazing night at Bistro Fou Fou. It was an 5 course Australian themed meal with wine pairings. Everything was so delicious, and the wines were paired amazingly with the meal. The food was wonderful! The service was impeccable. Will definitely be back.
6 to 8 of us go for early dinner, and take advantage of wonderful happy hour and small plates.�
A friend and I decided to try the Bistro out for the first time. She ordered the escargot as an appetizer. Bland and virtually no seasoning to the butter sauce. The escargot were sweet and tender, just no flavor. I ordered the Fois Gras for an appetizer. It was served in a tacky little Mason jelly jar. The fois itself was very creamy and tasty!
