My mother had to go to the ER this evening. She had nothing but glowing things to say about him. He listened to her needs and concerns, spoke very knowledgeably about her condition, told her the next steps to take, wrote her an Rx based on what her primary care was doing for her. Both my mom and stepfather were impressed.
He doesn't listen very well. I had a simple problem that will now be a life long medical condition for me.
I've been a patient with Dr. Bishop for 2 years. I've seen him 5 times. The office staff is friendly. Dr. Bishop always listens and makes me feel comfortable. I've had about 6 GPs in my life and he ranks at the top! I also realize at times I have to be seen by a PA on routine visits as The Dr. can get backed up.
Dr. Price recently my doctor at Blount ER. Did a complete physical,asked lots of questions. Clear and understanding in discussions. Polite, he was patient and not rushing though it was a busy night. Very much appreciate his expertise and compassion.
After several years of happy service from Dr. Bishop, I was handed over to a Nurse Practitioner, who asked me the same questions over and over , and never read my notes, after 3 times requesting I only be seen by Dr. Bishop, I was told that new patients were more important than me and using the Nurse Practitioner was "the way things are going to be". It was good to have Dr. Bishop tell me personally over the phone that I was unimportant to him.
I have the Same High Regard for Dr Wight. Nothing but good things to say about Dr Wight. He would look atyour records, but didn’t need to. He remembered each of his patients. I went in to his office sent me for X-rays I had pneumonia bad. It was so bad he wanted me to go straight to ER. I had recently lost my job broke no insurance. I begged him to do what he could he loaded me up with some strong medicine. This was a Thursday. He said come back Monday morning for follow up. Very accommodating, friendly. He is now my primary care doctor.
Second experience with this doctor. Dr. Price was very good to me and had me admitted for a medical condition. I was very sick and received good care. I had no problems with him or with the rest of the staff that took care of me. I don't understand the negative reviews. I have never seen a doctor or a nurse call someone stupid, that seems like a plain lie to me.
