RecommendedI can never say enough good things about BCBR. They were there for me for my first pregnancy and birth of my first born, with exceptional care and love that has lasted years! And they were with me for the loss of our second pregnancy, and have been so personal and caring to check on our family and care for us and help us figure out next steps. We are so thankful for our BCBR family and will never stop recommending them.

These ladies are really 5 star! Very accommodating , and intuitive. Special thanks to all the midwives, and especially Stefanie and Nashomie (staff doula), and nurse Amy ( was there middle to end). They stayed with me the entire time, and just encouraged me until the end. I have nothing but positive words for this sweet village/ tribe of women, helping women labor and birth. Thanks again🥰🥰🥰.
Gosh. I don’t even know where to begin with how pleased we were with our care at the Birth Center of Baton Rouge. We’ve always wanted a birth center experience, but had our first daughter at a hospital on the island of Guam where birth centers were limited and insurance was an issue. It was a breath of fresh air to find BCBR when we found out about our second baby! They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, passionate about patient centered care and they take most major insurances. It’s an hour drive from where we live ... read more
wife gave birth there 6/30/20. I had my reservations since it wasn't in a hospital...but now since they moved and are very close to one, I was ok with it. And I am very happy we did! The environment is so much more quiet and relaxing for the wife and myself rather than a hospital. you go home in 6 hours and can settle into your own home. the worst part of the hospital is the 3 days of people constantly coming in and waking your wife and baby up for check ups. My midwife was as or more versed on the mechanics of birthing than an OB! I felt completely safe and guided during my daughter's water birth! Excellent care from pregnancy to birth to postpartum.
Delivering my second baby at the birth center last week was such an amazing experience compared to the hospital delivery I had with my first child. All the midwives are so caring and compassionate and truly care about you as a patient and not just another number or statistic! Recovery has been much easier this go around as well. I would definitely choose the birth center again if I ever decide to have another baby!
I wanted to leave a review while my experience was still so new. We birthed at the Birth Center this past week and had the absolute best team of midwives and nurses. The experience was both hands on from the team and very peaceful to whatever I needed or wanted at any given moment. They gave thorough, helpful guidance throughout the entire process but allowed my husband and myself and our doula to make the final decisions in the moment.
