If I could give them 0 stars I would. I moved into a new apartment and scheduled an appointment for my water to be turned on during my move in date. They gave me a long window of 7am-6pm as the time frame in which I should expect my technician to be here. Eleven hours is too long to expect someone to wait on a technician but I did stay at home for that long only for no one to have showed up by 4:45. I then called them only for them to say a technician had showed up earlier, but they couldn't give me a time and I never had he... read more

The billing fiasco of this recent Spring 2022 is just another example of how mismanaged the BWWB is. Over inflated salaries and poor, under-skilled leadership and oversight. Every interaction with them is confusing, unpredictable, costly and maddening.

March i left a *****balance and its not even a month and days later and my bill *** dollars. Seems to me the company is in debt and charging the consumers for their problems. I live in a small apartment there's no way my bill should continues to go that darn high. I previously had a zero balance and they disconnected my service and had to come inconveniently come turn it back on a day later. Sure need to fix this MESS PROMPTLY????

****** they are in trouble and the people of Birmingham pay during a time when we do not have jobs I am very confused and now without water. I have lived at this address for a year just renewed my lease on the 18th. I have for some reason a ****** credit on my account. The only thing I have done is apply for assistance with the Emergency Rental Assistance Alabama where I requested help with rent and utilities due to covid. I was approved now the assistance has ended. I assumed that is why you cut my water off. Then I log in ... read more

Hi, I am **. Let me start by saying I established my service with Birmingham Water Works in year 1994-95. I've, Never in my life had any problem with my services until year 2019. This MUST END! In 2019, I began to miss my billing statements coming to the house. I called them several times about the matter. We went back and forth for a few moments about the issue. Finally the recommended that I contact a couple of agencies they recommended, **********************************. AT FIRST I ARGUE THE POINT, BECAUSE I KNEW THAT IT... read more

I started my services in April when I moved into my home. After the first day, I went a couple months checking my mailbox, and email and received no bill from BWWB. I had to call the main office to ask why I hadn't received a bill yet. They told me that I had been billed 3 times since my account was created and I had late fees. He also told me to take it up with USPS since the bills were not making it to my mailbox. I have had no issues receiving any other bills (power, gas, etc) but for some reason BWWB's never made it to m... read more

This company cut off my water (pregnant) after hours with no one to answer emergency phone. We just moved into our place in May and had not received our first bill. The customer service rep was extremely unhelpful and said we owed from March 8th, although I uploaded my lease starting in May. We had to pay a reconnection fee although none of it was at any fault of our own. They are the only water company here and do not care about their customers.

When I first moved to Jefferson County, Alabama the house we lived in was overcharged . The apartments we live in presently has always had bad water and wile I think it has something to do with the pipes ,I'm also sure its a BWWB issue. Over the past 8 months or so its been steadily worse. We shouldn't have brown/orange tap and bath water. After googling and checking out their Facebook page i have seen that the issue is they are the only water company around and people need water . We shouldn't be charged for dirty water.
