If I could give 0 stars, I would. My water bill is more expensive than my power bill every month. Have had them re-read the meter to me and my neighbors having outrageous water bills. I'm single, live by myself, and am hardly ever home due to work. My mother (who lives in a different county in AL) water bill is $50.00 less than mine each month, with 4 people in household, and she does multiple loads of laundry every day. I have called them to ask why is it so high. They said it's $30.00 just to have a meter every month, as w... read more

The Senior Citizens in Birmingham, AL are being double charged by the Birmingham Water Works, which is resulting in them losing a significant portion of their income. The company claims that the meter was not read correctly, and as a result, they had to reread the meter. Additionally, they are charging the senior citizens for a month they have already paid for, stating that they used more water than what was read by the meter reader..Birmingham Waterworks can provide raises to their employees without resorting to robbing sen... read more

Birmingham Water Works is apparently having some billing issues. I live alone and do not wash my car, water the lawn or use excess water for anything. Yet I have received bills for more than $**0. I have requested the meter be reread only to be told the bill is correct. My bills have tripled in the last few months and I live on a fixed income. How am I supposed to pay these amounts? And to add insult to injury, the BWWB has the audacity to pass an increase!

Birmingham Water Works is gouging me. They did work on my street and my water bill went from $*** a month to $*,*** per month. I have been to the Water Works in person and cannot get anyone to focus on the issue and they just keep charging me these astronomical amounts each month. Is there anyone that can help with this? I am a very disappointed and frustrated consumer.

On August 16, 2022 I put in a transfer of service from one location to another, uploaded my lease and received an email confirmation. On September 21, 2022 I got home and my water was turned off. I had received a check from BWW for about $***** and assumed that it was from the jacked up billing issues. I called after hours customer service and was told that on Sept 9, 2022 I called and requested that service be disconnected and I approved the refund - I ABSOLUTLEY DID NOT!!!!!!!!! Once BWW opened, I called and was told that ... read more
