Been doing business with the Bird Hut for well over 20 years. Purchased more birds there than I care to think about. It’s the only bird shop in Portland worth going to - small, GREAT selection, customer oriented! Currently have a deposit down on a baby Dusky Headed Conure that Brian’s still hand feeding - COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPY!!!

I love Bird Hut!! I have been there many times when I am in Portland. I got one of my Sun Conures, Kismet, from Bird Hut. I just got a baby Lovebird I am calling Wenatchee and so far, he is doing just great in his new home here. I will probably come down again soon to meet Benny, and see if he might want to come live here too!!

They are amazing! Friendly knowledgeable, been a customer for years with my goffin cockatoo and my blue and gold macaw! We come for a spa day and my kids come back giving everyone kisses!

Who knew behind the walls of an unassuming house would be an adventure? We visited for the first time, finding the birds beautifully cared for, the customer service amazing...and just an overall wonderful experience. They had babies they were raising and incredible birds awaiting their forever homes. Do not hesitate to do business with the Bird Hut!
We came in today specifically to look at some conures with the intent to buy. Staff was totally rude (the owner), and would not even give us the time of day. We were treated like we were in the way rather than customers. Now, instead of several hundred dollars in revenue, they are now getting negative fb review.
After I have been reached out to by one of the employees I'd like to give this place a better rating. They do care about their customers and having a single bad egg does not represent them as a family business. Beautiful selection and a very admirable variety of birds. They look well taking care of.
I had to re home my two babies, and this business went above and beyond to make it as smooth as possible. They clearly love birds and that is a number one priority. My babies are having the time of their lives there before they get to go to their forever home. Special shout out to Jackie who is one of the employees, she absolutely loves birds and has gone above and beyond to make sure my babies end up in a good loving home.
