The first time, the guy checking my blood and vitals was very kind and careful when drawing the small amount of blood from my fingertip. It barely hurt as he used the automatic lancet. I didn’t notice it much. The second time, it did not seem usual or professional. She used a needle with a much larger tip. It actually made me bleed a lot and took a long time to stop bleeding. Worst place imaginable... staff is also rather incompetent and rude. It is in Modesto... Don't trust this location, and won't be going back to it. Try anywhere but here. Don't say I didn't warn you!
The techs never change gloves between patients. That's highly against the federal and state protocol. You actually have to ask them to change their gloves and they will literally roll their eyes at you. It's like the gloves are part of their uniform and not there to protect them and the patient from blood born contamination. This isn't a costume accessory it's for safety.
The staff was professional & respectful.
