Forcing people to give their protected health information is not legal. BioLife all access your electronic consent to your entire medical record because your pulse was over the recommended limit by 1 or 2 points is absolutely ridiculous. When I questioned why they needed it the nurse tried to confuse me however it did not work.They hand you the paperwork to take to your doctor, there's no reason for them to get the consent to begin with,they have no business in anyone's records like that.
So they lure you in with high incentives and then give some bullshit excuse after a couple times deferring you 2 weeks so you lose the bonus and just get regular amount which isn't really all that great to begin with.
I have been a donor at the Edgewood Road BioLife in Cedar Rapids for 7 or 8 years now and actually enjoy going there. The staff is always friendly and doing everything they can to make sure my donations are well-handled. The facility is clean and the people always show they understand what their jobs are and how to do them well.
