I have loved Billy's Barn since their seafood buffet became the go-to for family birthday celebrations in about 1974. The menu has changed a bit, but the most important staples remain: friendly service, staff who call you by name even if they haven't seen you in a year, and wide selection of surprisingly good food at fair prices. They have the best customers, staff and entertainment in Salem!!! Home of the Roanoke Are Shag Club!!! Oh, did I mention the best food too!!!!! We call it "The Deckerz Of The North"!!!!
We are from Woodlawn VA visiting Salem for our daughters graduation from Roanoke College and found Billy's by accident really , but oh my goodness what a happy accident! Great service, Great food! The owner came out and checked on every customer and even gave us a brief history of the place being passed down through the family. We will definitely be back when we're in town and HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE!!!
First time being there and it was great!!! Uptown!!
Always stop here when traveling through the area. Love the steaks, the salad is always fresh. Drinks are great too. After 8 hours on the road it's a great place to relax. The servers are always friendly and the manager stopped by also to make sure everything was fine with our meal. We appreciate that we can arrive late and order from the full menu. We will be back on our next trip!
