Great location right on the Hudson River. Good menu, helpful staff and well cooked food. The salads are very good and huge.
We originally went there because we wanted to sit outside overlooking the river on such a nice day. The food was good, I loved the wings, and the pulled pork. The ribs I had were tender but I kind of wanted a little more flavor from the ribs. The service was good. The only drawback to sitting outside are the Bees. Whether it is the food or the drinks or both, my 7 yr old could only focus on the Bees being around us. We will return again.
Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff. Highly recommend.
We stopped here in between games during a baseball tournament - there was a weird sour smell In the whole restaurant that really turned us off ... I don't know if it was because the water is right there .. Other than that the food was good- especially the brisket ...
I am in town from Florida visiting family. I ordered a single rum and coke. It was literally just coke. I ask for a double hoping it would be stronger on the next one. It was literally the same if not worse. Nothing worse than feeling shorted. So after tip I basically paid $20 for 2 cups of soda. P.S. - Not even cold out and the deck is closed. I only came because I heard it was on the water.
We really enjoy coming here, food /ribs are great. Beautiful view on the water , as many times as we have been here, Shea was our BEST WAITRESS !!!

My mother, grandmother, and I had an absolutely amazing experience at Billy Joe's Ribworks. We were visiting Newburgh on the final day of a weekend getaway. While we were walking in the parking lot, my mother got distracted and tripped on the only whole in the entire restaurant parking lot. My mother has bad knees and when she was instantly in intense pain and knew that she had really hurt her knee.
