My freshman daughter had to visit this facility due to them demanding a TB test (after she has lived on campus for a month) because she was born in China (has not been there for 15 years) they require the blood test. She went and they did not accept or courtesy file her insurance so she said she would go elsewhere. They were extremely rude and said they treated her like she had a contagious disease. As a university clinic where a lot of students go for help, I think it’s extremely unfair that students are not made aware if their insurance is out of network or that charges are being made to their school account. After multiple appointments, I found out I had accumulated around $300 in charges because my insurance is out of network. I was never made aware that I was accumulating these charges and was simply told that I “should have asked” about my insurance beforehand.
