Come on into Bigg's Barbecue and enjoy some good old fashioned barbecue while enjoy sporting events on Bigg's 25 televisions! Bigg's barbecue is unique. Unlike traditional Kansas City-style barbecue, all the meat -- brisket, pork, chicken and sausage -- is served with light sauce to accentuate the hickory-smoked flavor of the meat and Bigg's special dry rubs. Extra sauce is served on the side. Sunday breakfast is very yummy! Too bad Sunday only comes once a week!

I was born and raised in SoCal, where BBQ is a verb, not a noun, as it is in the Midwest. I never understood this...until today. I had the burnt end sandwich and the cheesy corn bake. Holy moly! It was amazing!
The past 2 times I've been to Bigg's (Iowa & Mass) the food has not been hot, or really even warm. Hate to say this, but I'm never eating at either location again. Hog Wild pit BBQ never serves me room temp food!

Gosh, I am sorry you feel that way, I wish you would have said something to the manager or owner on duty. We do pride ourselves on serving hot food in a timely manner, we have been serving the best barbeque in Lawrence for over 10 years now and plan to continue that for years to come.
My wife and I went here for the first time tonight. To say that we were surprised is an extreme understatement. Great food, service, atmosphere, the complete package. I don't understand why this place wasn't packed. We will be going back!

Before today, I came to Lawrence to visit The Phog, now I will be coming to watch the Jayhawks AND eat at Biggs. Love this place.

Brought in a group of friends from out of town and soon discovered we picked the wrong place. In short the service was horrendous .... slooooooow incompetent service and orders all screwed up. The food was surprising mediocre and not what one expects for Kansas City area BBQ. Sorry folks, we won't be coming back.
