I rented my first ever apartment through Big Ten Property Management out of necessity; it was late in the rental period and I needed to find a place to live for the next school semester pretty quickly. If I could give them 0 stars I would. One of the worse landlords I've dealt with. They will nickel and dime you for your deposit when you move out. Burnt-out light bulb? $30 charge. Deep clean your apartment yourself before you move out? Still charged $100+ cleaning fee. They also charged us a $200+ "dumpster fee" to each unit at our building during move-out (another unit tenant had dumped items outside the dumpster so they charged EVERY unit even though the dumping had occurred one month prior to us moving out) - this char... read more

I emailed them on Friday explaining that our toilet is still not fixed. They told use to shut off the toilet. We did so and no one has been out to fix it nor has anyone been in contact with us since. After 4 emails, 3 maintenance requests, and several calls, in a span of 4 days, you would think they would send someone out by now! Hope you have a big enough bladder to hold it for 4 days!!
