Big River Restaurant & Bar makes every meal an exciting one, with its impeccable Southwestern fare and friendly atmosphere. Exposed brick walls, light-wood tones and a high ceiling make up its interiors, and set it up perfectly for a laid-back meal. The menu is dominated by classic and contemporary American dishes, with a hint of Italian influences. Not-to-be-missed are their signature pizzas, pastas and burgers, while the Pulled pork, Steamed Manila Clams and Spicy Prawns are also well-worth a shot.

a favorite One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Everything I have ever gotten there has been fantastic (their pasta dishes and calzone are particularly good, and the desserts are wonderful, also great wine list,) and the service is excellent. It's terribly expensive, but worth it for special events. Pleasant atmosphere with unfortunately bad acoustics -- if it is busy, it is loud.
Big River Restaurant I have had some really good food at this restaurant and some HORRIBLE ones. They are not very consistent. I would recommend their desserts however. Go some place else for dinner and then stop by Big River to get dessert to take home.
Great Calazone! They have great calazone at Big River. That is usually what I order there. There other items tend to be a little more adventurous than I tend to like. If you go on a Friday or Saturday evening, be prepared for a wait and don't bother to call ahead as they don't take reservations. PROS: Good calazone CONS: Potentially long wait times on Friday and Saturday evenings
excellent Big River restaurant features selective, fresh, Northwest cuisine. The food is very good, exceptional breads and great desserts daily. Friendly atmosphere, good regional wines, live music in the bar. The service is excellent.
Sad! – Overpriced - poor service - Soup was cols - Entrée served on top of a bed of improperly cooked chicory that was so bitter it ruined the peppercorn sauce as well. Dessert was old and very dissapointing.

Best first meal in Corvallis – Big River is a great place to go out and eat in Corvallis. It is right on 1st ave on the river. Food is always good, and you get what you pay for. When people would ask me where to eat when I worked at the Hilton, I would send them here without a doubt. Calzones are to die for and changing specials are a treat. Great for special occasions and special "have your parents pick up the check" dining.
