Fun place to eat ribs Visiting friends in Paso Robles recently, we were treated to dinner on a Friday night at Big Bubbas. Not sure if reservations are available, but we didn't have them, and had about a 30 minute wait for our table. We passed the time reviewing the menu, and enjoying watching other customers taking their chances on the mechanical bull next to the bar. Great atmosphere, but a bit overpriced for what you get Located directly across from the California Mid-State Fairgrounds just off highway 101, this establishment is a great place to stop when you're looking for a special atmosphere. It is kind of overpriced, but worth it for the log-cabin/fort type atmosphere and mechanical bull (conveniently located right next to the bar!).
A New Experience! I like to describe Bubbas as "fair food meets fast food." It is an atmosphere unlike anything else... you have to go at least once! The ribs are yummy and I like their "chips." Drinks are good too. Definitely worth going for the atmosphere and good food, too!
