We had the brisket and ribs and it was very tough and dried out. Ribs were below average especially for an "award winning BBQ restaurant". Excited to try this famous place but none of what we had would ever win an award.
First time asked Chris at MidSouth tractor Salvage a good BBQ and recommended Big Bob Gibson he was right great place will be back.
I'm from Kansas City and eat a lot of BBQ. We have eaten at Big Bob Gibson's every time we have visited Alabama. Everything we have eaten there has been fantastic (turkey, brisket, ribs, and chicken). I have never eaten at a BBQ restaurant that has been great at all foods until now! Would recommend to all that pass through Alabama.
The food was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Wished I would have one of their homemade pies. Definitely will be a repeat visitor. Just plan to wait for a seat because the wait can be long. We adapted to the situation and ordered take-out and went to the local park for an awesome picnic! 😃
The best BBQ we have ever had. This is the place to go for all your favorites.
