The staff at Beyond Appearance are some of the kindest folks. They are always attentive to customer needs and greet everyone with a smile. Claire does an awesome job taming my hair and beard, and Steph does amazing work on my wife's nails. I highly recommend anyone looking for a top notch affordable salon to look no further than Beyond Appearance.
Claire is the best!!!!! I am super picky when it comes to who touches my hair, and she does an amazing job every time!! Everyone is super sweet and makes you feel so welcome.

Yesterday was my third time going to this salon the women there are extremely nice and the quality of their work you won't find anywhere better .I can't tell you the amount of money I have wasted on other salons and still left unsatisfied with my hair but with Beyond Appearance if you don't leave satisfied I will be extremely shocked
My husband and I moved to NC in Aug 2015 and I was nervous about having to find a new stylist. I had been struggling with bad haircuts for over a year before I found Beyond Appearance. Claire is amazing! She takes time to listen and ask questions so I'm always happy when I leave. I trust all of the ladies to trim my bangs at short notice. I've also had my nails done and wouldn't go anywhere else. I look forward to every appointment.
Best place in Hickory! Awesome staff and they really know what they are doing. I have naturally curly hair and it is hard to find any one that knows how to cut my hair. Samantha is AWESOME! She is great with naturally curly hair and color.
I went and had my hair done by the lovely Becky and I've never felt better about a cut and color. She took extra precautions to save my hair as much as possible. I was so scared but I placed my trust in her hands and walked out a confident and happy person!
I had a wonderful cut with Samantha today, I have long curly hair, she is very knowledgable, friendly, and gave me a great style! Thank you Samantha!!
Wonderful group, but $38 for a dry trim that only takes maybe 15 minutes is a bit much. Otherwise you couldn't ask for a better place !
