Known for its effervescent, sodium bicarbonate-laced pools, the Beverly Hot Springs has been beloved by Angelenos since its opening day almost a hundred years ago. Discovered by oil wildcatters at the turn of the century, the pure alkaline mineral waters gush from a natural well nearly two thousand feet below the city. Add a 45-minute massage or a soothing body treatment utilizing a mixture of milk, honey and cucumber to your muscle-melting bath. Step in and be soothed.

SKIN irritation, Over charged for something did not ask. Fever. Scars....just a terrible experience & no response from them – I went to get BODY care package. During the treatment, I asked the person to not massage too hard, but she kept doing hard to the point of my skin start hurting. Meanwhile, she did BODY scrub and BODY care treatment which I only asked for Body Care. Later, owner Eddie asked me to pay for the extra $40 per person for Body Scrub which I did not ask in the first place. Since I was inviting my client, I d... read more
paradise with cucarachas – This was a gift from my husband which I looked forward to. The hotsprings are beautiful, but upon entering what I thought was a leaf and i picked out of the water was a huge cucaracha. I was given an acupressure massage by Soon who chewed gum the entire time and then accidentally tapped my ear. So it was not the best birthday present for me.
A city oasis fueled by underground alkaline pools. – The Scene If a regular old hot tub seems hopelessly passé, why not try a soak in the city's only alkaline mineral water pools? These sparkling waters flow from a spring some 2,200 feet below the surface, and devotees like Calista Flockhart swear by their rejuvenating properties. If that's not enough, the relaxing atmosphere--with its man-made waterfall and peaceful decor--will definitely work to put you at ease. The Services Your admission fee grants you 90 blissful minute... read more
A hot spring in the middle of LA!!! – I love Korean style spas more than any other, especially the upity American version. Although a massage at Burke Williams would never be turned down. What I loved most about this place was the ambience. Most Korean spas have the ladies getting their treatments right there where you can see them as you sit in the hot tub, this place is a little more private. Also most Korean spas have the ambiance of basically a school gym locker room. This place really had a nice atmosphere. It reminded ... read more
You'll never forget it – This place will take you from the glitter of the Hollywood world to the real reason you go to the spa to feel healthy; this is not glitter at all. The hot springs are amazing; the service is not for people who are high maintenance, but for people that are real and want to feel great. I don't think my body every felt that clean before. The ladies that scrub the body run the show and if you go with it you'll walk out with a body that is so relaxed you'll want to do it again. Be prepared to strip down a... read more
Silky Smooth but Not Expected – I went with friends for my spa experience and was at first intimidated by being naked amongst friends and strangers. In minutes I didn't care and I relaxed in the Spring Hot Pool. My skin was starting to feel silky smooth in no time. I got the body scrub and it is a bit like being scrubed like a sink full of dishes but I enjoyed the massage and hair washing that came with it. Afterwards I couldn't believe how super silky my skin felt. I went into the steam room and breathed in the warm wet air... read more
Not for the faint hearted – I have heard about the springs over the years. Especially the treatments. I finally got to experience it myself. It was amazing. The scrub was so invigorating. There was not a spot missed. The body care treatment along with the massage was absolutely intense. I felt completely taken care of. If you are not one who enjoys a shiatsu massage this probably is not for you. It was such a treat to have the treatments. Not for everyone. Very down to earth which was a breath of fresh air!!
A great no-frills hot springs experience – BHS is not a fancy spa - it's more like an asian-style bath house or hot springs. The other comments are correct in that it's no-frills, but the mineral tub and sauna are both beautiful. The mineral water is great. If you like the simple experience of soaking in a beautiful setting, alternating with cold plunges, rest periods and sauna/steam-room, then this is for you. If you're looking for a pampered spa experience, this won't suit you.
Mineral waters – Healing waters maybe and the cold water plunge was invirgorating. dressing and changing rooms okay.. I the staff over worked and hurried. I felt rushed by the service provider. I felt like an in and out hambuurger slap on the service and pay up. (But you already did that before you got the treatment). Hurry get on the table, then times up getup and out. Nothing personalized at all. The adventure to Beverly Center was a gift which I would not repeat.
