This company is awful. I was a residence at Avery Chase apt. Where there have been multiple shootings, ********* ********** ********** ***** and the company does not care about. I was without my AC for 10 months I kept being reassured that the matter will be taken care of but it never was. I just recently moved even though I knew my couch was heavy and ripped a part of the tile I just knew that I would be entitled to some of my deposit back. I believe we have fully addressed your concerns at this point, and are understanding of all sides of these issues. We certainly wish crime was within our control. As the chief of police reminds us, until all members of the community take an active stance against bad behavior and all serve as positive role models, change will be harder than it needs to be.
This company is awful. Their employees seem trained to cite only the parts of the housing code that is advantageous to them. They misrepresent their contracts and housing law to try to keep poor tenants locked into bad contracts in unsafe conditions. And they do all of this while refusing to do their job – repair and upkeep the property – so the adverse health and living condition are never addressed.

We highly recommend that all renters read and understand their lease contract. Most apartments in Texas use a standard form developed over many years that courts and housing advocates alike have deemed legal, straightforward, and fair. It is unfortunate that far too many do not expend the effort to comprehend this important legal document and the obligations is places on both parties.
