The staff is very nice and attentive, however the doctor I saw, Maconey, has some of the worst bedside manor I've ever encountered. She was annoyed with me immediately upon entering the room, rolled her eyes, was condescending, interruptive, and audibly sighed with each question.
I waited a whole year for an appointment and then when I finally got there they mocked me for not wanting to try a medication that has a bunch of negative reviews online with patients stating it made their migraines worse than when they started. Missed an appointment a month ago(genuine mistake) and they haven't returned any of my calls. They also cut off my meds so that I'm bedbound :) All they do is push injection and then get annoyed when you don't want them and act like they can't do anything else for you.
The young woman at the front desk is cold and lacks all empathy and all customer service skills. She was rude and disrespectful toward me when I asked questions. I’m surprised Beth Israel employees such a poor example of what health care professionals should be. No matter how good the Doctors may be , the uncomfortable feeling from the time I walked in will keep me from ever going back. The doctor is good, however, the front office staff is NOT. They do not answer the phone, even if you are in an acute pain. If your meds are denied, good luck getting through to the doctor so they can appeal, which leads to being off schedule with your meds, and that leads to worse pain. They need to stop the excuses, hire more front staff that know how to communicate and show empathy. My daughter has been a patient for over a year and the same excuses about the front desk staff. Right now they're the worst they've ever been. You are a number and a profit to them and they don't offer pain medicine only anti depressants and aniexty medicine.
