I liked the ilet but I feel the staff at beta bionics will try everything they can to make things difficult. They do not replace lost or stolen pumps.
This insulin pump has been life changing for my 21 yr old daughter. Everything about this pump is user friendly, which was a big plus for my daughter. She's been living with diabetes for 20 yrs, and for many years it has been uncontrolled. This pump, in combination with her Dexcom, have given my daughter her life back. I cannot say thank you enough for putting a pump like this one out on the market!
I looked at of the available pumps on the market and chose the Beta Bionics. I will preface my remarks by telling you that I work in Medicine. I'm a PA-C doing critical care. Have been on Insulin for 15 years. The last several years my A1C had been steadily creeping up. From 7 to 9 and then in Nov 2024 I suffered an Embolic Stroke. My A1C at the time was 11.5! Do not get the ILet Pump. I tried it for 4 months and went low many times during the day. I couldn’t exercise at all and was constantly eating to combat lows. I never want another juice or sugar tabs again. I also went low during sleep!! I’m doing nothing and it still went low. Also my left hand was always pins and needles and I got nervous I had the beginning of nerve damage. Went back to tandem tslim and it magically went away. Beware!!
Do not get an iLet beta bionics pump So I was recently rediagnosed as a type 1, and my endo put me on the beta pump. The past 3 weeks have been hell. Constantly lows, constantly forcing me under 100 and when I'm on the floor collapsing it's still pumping in.
