SAFETY CONCERNS When me and my family checked in late at night on a road trip, the exterior door to our room (#168) was open. We checked in at 11pm and the door was wide open. I'm a big guy, and it took most of my strength to lean on it to get it to click and latch closed. I get that not everyplace has a huge budget, but basic safety was clearly not a priority. Other than that, the room was quiet, breakfast was warm, bed was soft.
They're under renovation. They filled in the pool and it's now the breakfast area. The rooms are mid but acceptable and clean. No issues really. Looking forward to what it will look like after construction.
There are pros and cons, as always. The location isn't bad: near food and other places in downtown. Pro and con: the hotel is older, but they are in the middle of renovations. The new lobby and breakfast area is nearly complete and if they continue the sleek, simplistic, but beautiful design into the rooms, it will be amazing when renovations are done. NO POOL!! Website says indoor pool…. A LIE! They “had to sacrifice the pool” for the new lobby. Such a major disappointment. I was told that we can take our room key and our ID to the YMCA and use their pool, hot tub, and fitness area for free and it’s only about a mile away. The problem with that is I don’t have my car, I rode with friends. They’re not going anywhere and I don’t know how safe it is to walk by myself to the pool at the Y
Absolutely horrible place. Don't stay. Old rooms. Bad service. Terrible music still playing outside till almost midnight. Simply don't stay.
