Stayed over for one night here on my way from Wisconsin to North Carolina. The hotel looks like it is being remodeled and the rooms look like they have been updated. But the hotel is damp. It smells damp, the carpet and sheets feel that way. The two doors to get into my section didn't work right. The outside one locked behind you and didn't accept the key card and the inside door stuck and was almost impossible to open. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast looked nice. I think I'd skip it next time.
I really wanted to like this hotel because its obvious they are remodeling. The staff is nice and the breakfast is great. However- there is no excuse for the dingy thread bare sheets I slept on for 4 nights. I hope those sheets went straight to trash so no one else is subjected to them. Our last night FINALLY we got nice sheets. What a quaint and quiet hotel that I found at random after being forced off the road on my road trip due to bad car accidents on the highway. I truly enjoyed my stay here. Clean, quite, staff is great, id stop here again if i had to
My girlfriend and I always stay here when we visit family, about 5 times a year, BUT I will NEVER return to this motel because of the management! The older dude with the glasses, he has worked there I know the last year and a half, that's how long we've been going there anyways.
