When we checked in, the front desk agent Julio was very friendly and my party and I chatted with them about shared interests, and that was quite nice. However, when my husband and I got into our first room, the AC had dripped and soaked into the carpet and it was significantly wet so much so that water soaked into my sock; in addition the room smelled very musty and dank. Stayed at this hotel during a recent trip to Springfield. The hotel, as others have said, looked aged on the outside and inside but I was surprised by my stay. The hotel was in a good area and it did not take long to get to the places I wanted to travel to while in town. The parking can be sparse but there was enough, even during a busy weekend. This is one of the best motels I’ve ever stayed in. So cozy and comfortable. Quiet even with high traffic. I loved our room. It had the history of Route 66 framed on the walls. It was an oasis of all the good things you look for in accommodations with a definite retro look. I’d stay here again and again. Bonus that they’re pet friendly. Check in was a breeze. The pool looked clean and inviting. They had several gathering places too. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

Did not stay here. Bad neighborhood. Price on a Tuesday was way more expensive than my usual-Holiday Inn Express.
