We booked the Best Western Plus Rio Grande for its proximity to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad station and were really impressed by the hotel. Not only was the intended commute walkable (3 blocks from the station) but we were also surprised to discover that we had a private balcony with a view of the rail yard, and were offered two complimentary alcoholic beverages per night during the hotel's happy hour. Courteous staff, clean accommodations. Food was good.
We stay at BW’s on a regular basis and generally have a good experience. While this particular BW is in a great location with very good staff it is in need of renovation. We would probably not stay here again given the fact that there are several new hotels in the immediate area that are priced relatively close to this BW.
Super friendly staff. Best continental breakfast and free drinks for happy hour.
Very nice. Free waffles! Good pool & hottub. Right along the river.
