I cannot say enough good things about this location in VA! I have been dealing with them for months now and every single occasion has been very pleasant and prompt. These folks go the extra mile to make their customers feel welcome, and this is the time when you're feeling your worst with diagnoses on your fur babies! Our dog was dying of cancer and we hoped to ease his discomfort by getting his pain medications as a liquid. They were compounded as “flavored“ chicken/beef. Our dog was still in distress taking the medications and would attempt to spit out the medications. We later discovered that the liquid medications are extraordinarily bitter and not beef/chicken flavored at all. Our dog was suffering with disgusting tasting medications that we paid a premium for. Although appreciative that that Best Pet Rx could quickly provide a medicine prescribed by the veterinarian while we were on vacation, i was appalled that a medicine we typically pay 2 dollars per pill for the name brand medication, cost us 101 dollars for just 14 generic pills. I thought it was including a second medication the doctor prescribed, but Best Pet did not have it. I am profoundly disappointed. I should have ordered it from Chewy.com.

So thankful to Best Pet RX! When my budgie was critically ill and needed a rather niche medication, they were the only pharmacy that could have it ready guaranteed within a few days. And since they're a dedicated pet pharmacy, they were also able to make it apple-flavored which was better tolerated than his other bubblegum-flavored med. The medication also came with syringes which were narrower and much better suited for dispensing meds to tiny birds than the ones we’d received from the vet.
