The instructor was kind, but the class was extremelyyyy crowded. There were 14 students and only 7 poles, which meant sharing the entire time. Because of that, you only get about half the practice time, and it’s very difficult to retain the moves while waiting for your turn. Even though the instructor tried to make rounds, there were too many students for meaningful feedback, so a lot of the class felt like waiting rather than learning. I love the instructors here at BeSpun and am grateful for the community that I’ve built while taking classes for the last 3 months. Logan, Kyla, and Erynn are all amazing teachers that build up your confidence in such a nurturing way. But I do have to give my honest opinion. I do not think BeSpun offers enough community resources to sex workers and strippers as a predominantly non SWer, white owned/ran “pole fitness” studio.
