I went for cololoscopy and Dr. Berner was very professionl. I have been going to him for over 15 years. Yes sometimes it is hard to get an appointment right away. That is usually how it is when you find a good doctor.
Dr.Berner is very compassionate and patient. Very proficient and bedside manner was excellent. He answered all of my questions.
I have been a patient for several years and have endoscopies every 3 years for GERD and colonoscopies every 5 years due to repeated occurrences of polyps. There is no better or more friendly facility than the Endoscopy Center. It is so much better than going to a hospital for these procedures. Dr. Berner is wonderful. He and his PA, Amanda Lipscomb, are great at follow-up visits, full explanations of what was found, and clear direction on adjusting diet and behavior to maintain good health. Was scheduled to see this Dr. office after a endoscopy in Morton Plant. The night before my appointment I got a call at 6.30 pm telling me that he would not see me and to go back to the Dr I had seen one time before the procedure. I did not care for this Doctor. I thought it was my decision which Doctor I chose for treatment. One office visit does not mean I have to continue seeing a provider I did not like. The person that called was rude and abrupt. I alone choose my Doctors.
I like the people here, but I never get to see the doctor, only the PA. Contact by phone is impossible. I only getv voicemail & it takes 1-2 days to receive a call back. Sometimes they don’t call back at all and I have to phone again. I’ve had no problems with procedures, but they are losing people. Dr. Garrish quit & has given up medicine. Brianne Bender is leaving in December. I have been researching other GI practices in the area.
It took two months to schedule a colonoscopy with Dr Berner. I could not get an appointment with the doctor prior to the procedure, only with the Nurse Practitioner who was quite indifferent and would not discuss the option of an endoscopy as well, even though I have a history of esophageal issues. Brilliant and compassionate.
I couldn't get an appointment with Dr Berner in 2022 and this is August! The clerk put me on hold 5x and was rude. I have never seen the doctor except at my scopes (which I have every 2 years for a condition). He doesn't know me as a patient. The PA is rushed and I am not sure she even looked up at me. Rather constantly typing in the laptop to hurry the visit since the lobby is packed and running 90 minutes behind.
Dr Berber is the best. Very professional
