We saw Dr. Lau today for the first time and he is not the usual provider we see. My 10 month old has been sick the last couple of days with a cold and this morning developed a slight fever. I went to pm pediatrics this morning and they told me she had the flu and said the test wouldn’t come back for a week. As a second opinion I called stony brook who are our usual doctors to see if we can get in today to see if she actually had the flu. Extremely rude and disrespectful. He’s not a pleasant person to interact with at all. It’s a shame it’s only him at the Commack site. He really needs to get his attitude straight. Keep looking. Following up on the reply. I’m not sure why I should call this phone number. Unless you want to teach the doctor about bedside manner or how to not be condescending to parents that care about their child's needs, nothing else to be said.
Dr. Lau is a wonderful, knowledable and down to earth. Makes my children feel comfortable instead
