My children are patients here purely out of necessity for care and the fact all of the reputable pediatrician offices are not taking new patients currently. The second I’m moved from an waitlist & can obtain care elsewhere, we’ll be gone. The front end staff is nothing short of incompetent. We were seeing a pediatrician in Glastonbury which we loved, but switched to Pediatric Associates of New London to be closer to home. We have officially switched back to our former pediatrician, I’d rather drive the hour than have to deal with the subpar care of PANL. We decided to explore other pediatric care options. The billing practices here are certainly… creative. We were charged for multiple procedures that simply didn’t happen, including an ‘extra’ eye exam that was apparently just part of a standard physical. Fascinating. Also, be aware that for every vaccine visit, they bill it as an outpatient visit rather than a preventive service, which conveniently increases costs—only the vaccine itself is coded as preventive. They performed a procedure on my daughter that was not covered by our insurance without asking our permission OR telling us that we would pay out of pocket. It was a totally unnecessary procedure and the woman I spoke with in the office (Joline) says this is a standard business practice for them. They do what they want and you pay what they want. Just evil.
Love Dr Salek for my daughter & Dr Khanna for my son both caring & attentive with every visit. I have & will continue to recommend them!
