My children are patients here purely out of necessity for care and the fact all of the reputable pediatrician offices are not taking new patients currently. We were seeing a pediatrician in Glastonbury which we loved, but switched to Pediatric Associates of New London to be closer to home. We have officially switched back to our former pediatrician, I’d rather drive the hour than have to deal with the subpar care of PANL. We decided to explore other pediatric care options. The billing practices here are certainly… creative. We were charged for multiple procedures that simply didn’t happen, including an ‘extra’ eye exam that was apparently just part of a standard physical. Fascinating. Also, be aware that for every vaccine visit, they bill it as an outpatient visit rather than a preventive service, which conveniently increases costs—only the vaccine itself is coded as preventive.
