Could not have a more screwed up billing department if they tried. Lost payments, collection threats are routine. Ask for a detailed bill and they refuse to send and continue with collections threats. Do not use if you have any other choice. Considering driving to Springfield to go to Baystate for anything now to avoid BMC. Have to switch doctors also now to get away from them and their billing practices. Horrible.
Anything linked to BHS is an absolute mess. I had an appointment on the 6th with Sarah Kangas at Williamstown Medical. She prescribed me an antiobiotic, told me i could try it and if it doesnt work, just stop taking. She didnt know what I had and when I asked her about other things like mono she just was like, “eh well it could be but we dont know.” I went to the doctor for a reason; to find out! Patient Representative/Experience does not represent the patient as the name indicates. These people only care about hospital policy and being right. They have no compassion for the patient or family. There is broken communication through the whole hospital.
After allowing 4 visitors at one time on 7/25, my sister gets thrown out of the hospital after her and 2 family members are allowed to visit her husband today. She then gets called out of his room and accused of violating the visitation policy. When she tries to explain that the staff at the front desk and 5W allowed it both yesterday and today, she was told that was not true. I was admitted to through BMC Hospital for a procedure, under doctors protocols of a instructions I was required to be accompanied by a family member the procedure itself is unknown on how good or bad on how it really went, the pain seems worse, unless it's all my muscles, it seems as though the pain is much greater prior before the procedure, but as a patient the doctor's request got dismissed by a receptionist right from the start due to the covid19, which complicated everything and because of all of this, it was without a... read more
Especially if one is, let’s say a disabled veteran with a service animal? Just witnessed the despicable treatment of a veteran with his service dog. Your hospital should be ashamed and I qtruly hope you idiots lose the inevitable law suit coming your way!
If you want good emergency room care, with doctors and nurses that pay attention to the patients and not continue on with personal conversations within ear shot of patients, don’t come here. You would be better off staying home because all they will tell you is that nothing came up on the multiple cat scans they preformed to milk the money from your insurance company.
My mother was admitted to BMC a couple weeks ago, it was terrible! She is disabled and was neglected, disregarded, told to do things herself. She came home exhausted and with broken skin on her behind. My wife called and was told they were sorry, they dropped the ball and the complaint would be passed on. Pandemic or not this kind of treatment and disregard of disabled patients is shameful and unforgivable!
