This is the worse bank I have ever use. They charge over draft fees when my accounts were perfectly fine. They set up my online banking when they bought out savings institute and completely made a mess of my accounts by sending double payments. They couldn't find what was wrong. People who work there don't know what's going on. Bank is just terrible.
I paid off an auto loan and hoped to get the title from Berkshire Bank so I could sell my vehicle. Unfortunately this took well over a month due to incredible incompetence by this bank. 1. They lost my title 2. They mailed an application for duplicate title to my DMV 3. Over the next few weeks I did not receive a new title in the mail. Horrible bank. They have bought up a lot of the small community banks around Berkshire County and we are stuck with them in a virtual monopoly. Now, they can charge whatever they want, change the terms on previous loans, and totally screw the customer over as they have with me time and time again! Do NOT get a loan from them! Don't even open an account. It's a hassle and no one can or will ever help you!

I have my car loan through Berkshire and I've never felt so disrespected by so many "professionals". The Ilion branch is awful. The women that work there are rude and have no mannerism. They act like they hate their job. There's one woman named Nancy that repeatedly calls my work and harasses my co-workers about me (I didn't pay $20 on last month's car payment). Way to take a nice bank like ******** completely ruin it. All the personal touches that made ******** Bank exceptional have vanished. In the change-over, they took my name off the checks (and left my husband's name on), changed the overdraft policy and also added a $200 minimum balance policy on savings accounts. Thank you ******** Bank for seeing us through the great recession and the long climb out afterwards. I'm moving on to a credit union.
Commerce Bank customer since 1986 who was very satisfied with bank. Berkshire takes bank over deactivates my debit card and fails to send replacement card, account numbers and new checks. Service reps said they sent the card out two days before deactivation. After reading on line reviews, the lack of empathy of branch personal and telephone customer service, I will be changing my bank my initial dealings with them have made me angry and frustrated.
One of the worst customer services I have ever seen for a bank. They have extremely long waiting times and are patronising even on the phone. There is no online 24/7 chatroom that you can use when you are traveling outside the United States for support, and their mobile app is one of the worst, often not functioning at all. Their online business solutions banking product is junk. Very difficult to get access online. No support after hours. LONG WAIT TIMES (10 minutes) for telephone support r=to even answer the phone during business hours. When asking for verification information, they ask about details of deposits only. Since I do not memorize those things, and our manager makes all the deposits, and that I am trying to log in to access that very information, and pay bills, I requested different verification info. On 10-13-2017 I drove thru The ***** ** Branch to make deposits into my account. As I was sitting waiting for the teller tube to return with my deposit slips The Teller starting yelling in a scarey demander SEND IT BACk! Send It Back Send it back! The tube hadn't even been received I had no idea what was going on Now looking behind my vehicle.
