Dr, Berianu told me face-to-face with my husband present that I did not have Scleroderma (a deadly disease) with my husband present. Then she reversed her diagnosis without telling me or my medical team and I was having total knee replacement surgery! Had I been told, I would have opted out of surgery. If the medical team knew, they would not have allowed me to have surgery. I had surgery in 3-12 (thank God) everything went well, but I could have died if I had Scleroderma. Overall experience with Mayo was terrible. Dr. Berianu was uncaring and dismissive from the very start of appointment. Cut you off as you explaining why you are there and then argues with what prior doctors diagnosed you with then backtracks. Felt as if my presence being there was an irritation. At one point I felt like I was on trial for even being there as if I didn’t belong. I Left there feeling discouraged and dismissed. I’m shocked at the the lack of compassionate providers there. My daughter was referred to Dr. Berianu prior to orthopedic surgery. Dr. Berianu was caring, thorough, professional and kind. She spent more than 30 minutes with us and answered all of our questions. I would recommend her highly.

She is the WORST doctor I have ever seen. I don’t know who all these people who say she’s so compassionate and kind actually saw, but I guarantee you it was not her or they were paid to put it here. This woman has zero bedside manner. If I had ever met her before, I would’ve sworn she was extremely angry with me. She literally cuts you off and talks over you, loudly and forcibly, when you try to tell her your symptoms and God forbid you disagree with her, she’ll treat you like a completely inept idiot. Dr. Berianu is certainly knowledgeable but she appeared to be rushed during the visit. I did not feel comfortable with her at all.

Unprepared, documentation is inaccurate and poor listening skills. She talks over you, doesn't listen to full history. Her documentation ( which you have access to through your portal) reflects further deficits in her knowledge your past medical history and clearly demonstrates her lack of attention to detail and knowledge of the patient. She also doesn't appear to stay current with precent relevent peer reviewed literature on medications.

A very knowledgeable physician, caring and understandable, Dr. Berianu has been taking care of my disease since 2015. My best medical experience. I am recommending her to all my friends.

Completely ignored everything I attempted to explain. Dismissed my medical history despite being given extensive documentation on my conditions. Highly cold and indifferent to my pain, upset or poor quality of life. Would recommend hospital board review her and reconsider her employment at Mayo. Had very high hopes that Mayo could help with my pain issues. Disappointed doesn't come close to describing how I felt upon leaving - and even still.

Dr. Berianu is absolutely the most compassionate, caring doctor any hospital or medical facility would be honored to have. Dr. Berianu goes above and beyond to ensure that her patients get the best care and understand everything. From the time she spends with her patients, to the dedication she provides. She is one of the smartest doctors and an asset to MAYO. We consider ourselves blessed to be able to have her as our doctor.
