I’m not at all surprised to see that Bento tally is closing its doors for good as a former employee. I worked there from August 2021 thru April 2024 as a shift lead and it grew more and more evident during my time there that corporate did not care about this location compared to others because it was an underperforming store and treated our store like the red headed stepchild of the company. I've been coming here for years and always felt like the food was worth the price. After standing in line for 10 minutes my food came out and everything except my chicken was cold. I'm 3 months pregnant and I'm concerned that if this food is in hot holding if it's holding at the right temperature. My lo mein is cold which is concerning. Had a terrible experience. Went there almost 2 hours before they closed. Waited in line and heard the employee say that they were only taking to go orders because they were too busy. When it was our turn to order she said that she could not take our order (family of 4) because they were too backed up.
Second time I’ve ordered and paid for extra chicken with my bento box and I haven’t received it.
The staff are always rockstars! A good crew always providing excellent service. Bento has been one of my favorite places since it opened in Orlando years ago… I was stoked there was one in Tallahassee! The menus has shrunk over the years and that’s a bummer, but no sushi, no poke bowls was sad enough now there’s no classic boba drinks. The quality of food has gone down significantly too and is still pretty pricy. Times are tough, it’s sad to see an old favorite fail.
