Came in on a whim to have a wedding band made to fit my engagement ring. We paid upfront for the ring but were advised that we could be charged $80 more for the weight of the gold. This message is to David T. whose wife entered our store, with a diamond ring that had not been looked at in over 3 years, and was covered in filth and grime, to the point no one could even see the diamonds, until it was cleaned. We were also informed that the customer is a nurse and the ring had MRSA on it. We were instructed to rhodium plate the ring, however, after it was cleaned there was a .01 mm diamond missing on the underside of the shank, this diamond was so small it would not have been seen under all that filth. Be advised, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BENSON JEWELERS. My wife took in her engagement ring in to be cleaned and when she went to pick it up a diamond was missing. The clerk stated that is was missing when she brought it in. However no note of this was made on the invoice. There is no way a jeweler would bring in a ring that has missing or damaged components without clearly noting any issues on the invoice. This Store is Absolutely the BEST!!!!! – Not only is this store beautiful, but the service and prices are amazing. I had to wait to get into their diamond room, but it was well worth the wait. I had a ring made that looked just like one my fiance had seen at another store. They made it for $2000.00 less than the ring that my girlfriend wanted. A Wonderful Experience – I had a wonderful experience when I took a loose diamond I had purchased elsewhere to be set into my engagement ring here. My private jeweler from the city I moved from reccommended I go here. The staff was beyond friendly and professional, and the prices are far less than mall jewelry stores, although the quality and service is far above. I had an incredible experience here! – I want you all to know that I went to this Jewelry store and they beat out Blue Nile for their diamond prices. I picked out a one carat diamond. She got me two beautiful diamonds to compare and they were just fantastic. I paid less for a Ideal cut diamond, and believe me I went to 6 different jewelers, and no one could touch the price or the quality. She had a setting that was beautiful, and we had it set that day. I got this for my wife's anniversary gift, and she loved it!!!!
Best Jeweler in the area – To the person who posted before me. I don't understand how you could even say that. My fiance and I bought my engagement ring at Benson's and Debbie shipped 3 GIA Certified diamonds in for us to choose from that were in our price range and in the color and clarity that we wanted. OVERPRICED! LACKS QUALITY – I went to four jewelers in town and they were the highest price. Selection was limited and when I starting talking price comparison they showed lack of interest.
