Please seek a second opinion before deciding upon surgery with Dr. Bennett. There are likely much better doctors available to do this surgery. Read all of his reviews, take a look at his professional past and how often he has moved from one city to another, one hospital to another. Your initial impression of him as being arrogant and even defensive is correct, he is both. I've had Dr Bennett as a Dr for about 7 years. Recommended to me by my GI Dr. At first I wasn't really thrilled with his suggestion for surgery but as time passed I had to make a decision for a very extensive surgery. Dr Bennett followed through on his end. He is aces in his field. We are fortunate to have such a skilled surgeon close to home here in De. I would strongly recommend anyone needing an oncologist this is the top surgeon in this field.

Dr.Bennett was supposed to remove my Gallbladder laproscopicly but had issues and had to use the open method of removal, after several months I had recurring symptoms that were worse than before Gallbladder removal at this time I went to Dr. Bennett for relief and he was completely dismissive of my complaints up to and including verbal abuse, even after Imaging showed there was something in there.( in his office notes he said visit was strained and I was derogatory to him about surgery) I wouldnt have gone back to him if I d... read more
