RecommendedI’ve lived with Benkowski for about 4 years two separate times. First time I moved out and left the state I got all of my deposit back. When I moved back to WI I wanted to rent from them again because they’re fair. I Just recently moved from an apartment to a townhouse and also got my deposit back. Most complaints are about “ridiculous charges”... clean your unit, take care of THEIR property, and they won’t take your deposit. Some reviews made me very skeptical if i would get my security deposit back but i almost got all of it in the end. As long as you clean out and dont completely trash your place youll get the deposit back. My only complaint is sometimes theyre rude over the phone.
Lived here for 4 years. Never once had a problem. Anytime I have an issue maintenance is here to fix it asap. If you take care of your unit that your renting they dont charge you for anything when you leave. Ive transfered to a town home from an apartment and they didn't charge me a thing, because I cleaned and left it like they gave it to me. Be very careful they will literally charge you for EVERYTHING when you leave. Removing tape $30 standard light bulbs $10. They tried charge me 3,000 for damages you would think the place was trashed not even close!!! They are a joke!!! If you need things fixed and they know your moving they will give you the run around never fix it and then charge you!!! Save yourself the trouble they are definitely crooks and very petty!!!
Loved my neighbors and loved the place, management is the pain in the butt. When you leave they literally will charge you for any little thing. How about $80 to replace some "non standard" light bulbs...I mean really?? Imma put it to you this, after a $800 security deposit we got less than $300 back and we are very clean people....what a freaking joke!
