Oh my gosh!!!! These are my schnauzers when I was a little girl. We sure did not take care of our dogs! My first job was washing and drying dogs in a grooming shop back in 1973. The manager saw how much I liked dogs and taught me to groom. Boy have I come a long way! I will have to look for some pics of these guys after I learned how to groom. Stay posted.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th of July! Don't forget to firework proof your home for your pet! Leaving the T.V. on loud and giving them an interactive treat toy will help to ease their stress. Sometimes a mild sedative or benadryl is necessary. Always check with your vet first before administering any medication.
Now that we are finally getting some warm weather, a short summer smoothie is just what this girl needed!

This good boy wasn't too shaggy when he came in for his grooming appointment but he sure looks nice afterwards!
There are many steps in the grooming process. Trimming most of the hair off before the bath, trimming nails and cleaning ears, brush out any tangles, express anal glands if needed, bath and blow dry, brush again, and finally scissor finish. WA LA, A FRESHLY GROOMED DOG!
Grooming is a hairy business!
