Horrible experience. I went there with an awful toothache and told them I don't make a lot of money and would like to be told before they do anything that costs money. They said all they would do is an xray which is covered by my insurance and the next thing I know I get a bill in the mail from them for an extensive examination that never happened. When I called them to ask them about the charges and asked them to reverse them they refused and were extremely rude about it. DO NOT GO HERE!!

SO BUMMED!! My husband and 2 children have all been going to Dr. Stevens for years and he is a wonderful dentist. I am very sensitive and he is gentle and communicates what he is doing with me. HOWEVER, I am very upset as his office staff seems to be getting greedy and rude. Many back office dental assistants have been in and out, not sure what happens to them as every time I am there a new person is working. Their cost is too high for a retired person such as myself. After being a patient for several years, I recently left. I have found a new dentist who treats seniors better.

Steer clear of this office. "Dr. Ben" has only one goal and it's making money. The office staff behaves like vultures...with a smile, of course. They do not honor or guarantee the shoddy work that's done. They want to X-ray every tooth each year so they can collect from insurance. Just money hungry.

Zero stars would be more appropriate. Alike many of the other reviews that I've seen on websites not controlled by this office, people are unhappy about the office staff. They insisted that I come to an afternoon appointment because my insurance year was closing and they wanted to "use it up" before the new year started. So they insisted that I come even though I told them I'd have my children. They, then, had the nerve to comment on how my child was fiddling with the water cooler. THAT is nothing. The receptionist couldn't have cared less about me. When I was checking out, she was too busy with Pinterest on the computerto help me. (Yep, I saw!) Also, the parking there is awful! This office is in the busiest center in Aliso Viejo. I thought I was in NYC!

My family has been patients of Dr. Stevens for many years. I like him, but have had repeated billing issues with the office staff. I received a nasty collection letter advising me that I was "unwilling" to pay my 90 days past due balance of $265 and they would be taking more "aggressive" action. In fact, I had never been billed for the amounts previously and no insurance claims had been filed. My actual balance after the insurance claims were filed - $0. We are changing dentists for this reason.

I came to Dr. Stevens for just a cleaning, but I was practically in tears as they immediately told me I had gum disease. The receptionist was way too involved in the whole process when she should have been sitting at her desk answering the phone. She literally followed me around the office trying to get me to use up as much of my benefits as possible. Since then, I got a second opinion about the gum disease, and NO I do not have it.
