At 41 years old I have never in my life experienced a doctor's visit like this. It was horrible and shocking at how dismissive it was. Dr. Marks's conduct in my appointment was jarring. I drove over an hour with two small children to get to this appointment. The appointment took less than 5 minutes. I have been suffering symptoms for one issue over a year and another (severe hair loss) for the last 4 months. Terrible experience with Dr. Benjamin Marks. I met him once, and he stayed several feet away without properly examining my skin. He quickly pushed Accutane, but I did not feel he took the time to evaluate or listen to my concerns. I also recently requested an antibiotic refill for a possible skin infection and was told he was out of the office. The whole experience felt careless, dismissive, and extremely frustrating. I would not recommend him.
Being the only available dermatologist appt during the week, I was given the option of making an appt with this provider. I was disappointed with my experience. The visit felt rushed, and I did not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed. I left feeling unheard and with limited opportunity to ask questions about my condition and treatment options. I’ve seen Dr. Marks three times. He’s rude, dismissive and very unprofessional. I put up with it because I only need to see a derm a few times a year. But he couldn’t care a less about his patients and it shows. This last visit he was so ridiculously unprofessional and dismissive. It was like an SNL skit. My wife and I had a good laugh. Not a big loss. There are plenty of competent derms in the area. He’s not one of them.
We took our 5 month old baby to an appointment with him because it was the only appointment available. Our baby had a rash all over his body and face. He prescribed a cream, but it made my baby’s face worse every day. I contacted him again, and it took a long time for him to respond. He told me to continue using the cream. The next day, he prescribed another cream, which made my baby very uncomfortable and fussy. We ended up in the ER, where the pediatrician said she usually does not prescribe these types of creams for babie... read more
