I needed ACL surgery, did research for an orthopedic surgeon & decided on Dr. Petre because so many other patients decided to take the time to rate him as a great doctor he must be. I did not regret my decision. Dr. Petre scheduled my surgery in a very timely manner & he & his staff are professional, courteous & friendly, genuinely caring about their patients.
From the beginning, he was patient, explaining everything in detail. He did not jump to wanting to do surgery first. Rather, he exhausted all other options first (a true testament to his integrity). He does everything to make sure the patient understands any decision & what is involved with each one, leaving nothing to question when you leave. From the bedside manner, to the professionalism and expertise, Dr. Petre makes each patient feel important. I have referred my family & co-workers!
Dr.Petre has been amazing. I had hip surgery with him this past year and he answered all of my questions and provided me with extensive information about my options,the surgery itself, and the recovery process. I love all the information and prompt attention (quick appointments or returned emails). My favorite part, however, is that Dr. Petre is personable. He never rushes and he is engaging.
My experience with Dr. Petre was absolutely outstanding. I was being treated for a liberal tear in my hip but then tore my rotator cuff and he did a fantastic job on my shoulder and my recovery time was significantly less than expected. I have absolute trust and confidence in his knowledge and skills and to me is one the best orthopedic surgeon in the medical filed today. Dr. Petre has my highest recommendation for anyone needing any type of surgery. Thanks, Dr. Petre!

My experience with Dr. Petre was wonderful and I would strongly recommend him. BUT his medical secretary Amanda needs training in being courteous and caring. I needed needed immediate assistance due to extreme pain that 2 Codine pills did not help and she says "Dr. Petre is busy today and cannot see you then going out of town till next Thursday" which would have been 8 days. She offered to order Ibuprofen. I witnessed her rudeness to Dr. Petre and other staff. I found another Dr. because of her.
Not honest during visit, went in for chronic hip pain, MRI negative, Dr. Petre said there was no indication of any problems with my hip however wrote in chart that he diagnosed me with hip bursitis but did not tell me, found out from my primary physician. Dr. Petre did not offer any treatments for his diagnosis. Office will not prescribe any medications unless surgery is done, does not provide this info during visit. Bad experience, wait time 1 1/2 hours for visit, still in pain.
Met with Dr. Petre and his PA Gary last week for a torn ACL. I had met with another doctor, but didn't feel a good connection. Glad I went to Dr. Petre because he discovered I had also torn my meniscus and would need surgery to repair both. Dr. Petre and PA Gary were super helpful, thorough, and very knowledgeable. They performed the visit as if I had not seen another doctor so they could make their own judgement. With their advice, I'm comfortable going forward with surgery.
