I had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Benjamin Mena, MD, FACP today for my first primary care appointment, and it was truly an exceptional experience. Time spent with the patient. Dr Mena is very thorough and encouraging. Appointments run on time! Urgent appointments can be accommodated. He coordinates care with other doctors and treats the patient as a whole.
Unfortunately his staff overturn is high. In addition, they rarely answer phone and you cannot get same day appointments ever it seems. Office is closed fridays but they will return message at “their” earliest convenience. They have offsite billing which isn’t the best (was double billed for a visit and took months to attempt to clear.). Dr is friendly (sometimes a bit too friendly for some I would say). Dr. Mena is amazing!! I have never had a doctor take so much time with me at an office visit and pay such close attention to everything I tell him and answer every question so completely. He never rushes the visit. You feel like you are his only patient! He is kind, caring, patient, compassionate, and of course an excellent physician!! He is thorough and works tirelessly to find the right diagnosis and treatment options for any medical issue. I would recommend him to anyone!!!
Dr. Mena is a good listener and picks up on my needs immediately. His wellness exam was the most complete I have ever experienced, hands down! I am getting the help I needed. Thanks Dr. Mena!
Dr Mena has been our family physician for 5 years. He treats everyone from my 90-year-old mother to my grown children. He is a rare doctor who listens and really cares. He is very intelligent and skilled and knows the best specialists for referrals. He is amazing!

The Doctor was great but the service provided by his staff is not. He was my primary care provider but he changed to a new type of service where people who wants to be treated will have to pay for a membership and left his other patients without a doctor. I had a physical done in October and I ran out of a medication yesterday and tried to get it refilled but found out he is stopped treating his patients in November. His staff said they sent several letters about this but I never received one.
