My review is for PA Doyle, she is kind and listens and is very thorough. I have not yet seen Dr. Millar, but have heard wonderful things about him and have an appointment at the end of the year with him. There is one staff member that you talk to on the phone and she is very rude. But because the care is so good otherwise, I overlook that.
Dr. Miller diagnosed a rare neurology condition, orthostatic tremors, in my husband as a staff neurologist at NE Baptist in San Antonio. Two other neurologists missed it and said his condition was not neurology-related. He was able to treat him and halt the tremors, which had landed him in the hospital. He is exceptionally kind, steady and takes time with his patients to get to know them and explain the issues thoroughly. My husband looked forward to his visits every day.
I saw Dr. Millar when was in Greenville, SC in 2002 and then again in 2008. He is a wonderful neurologist. I can't seem to find anyone else like him in my area. The one I had went on medical leave, so I'm left without one again.
Dr. Millar may be a good and respected neurologist. I have had referals from two different physicians, but I can't get an appointment because the referal wasn't properly scripted. I have a very problematic left shoulder condistion. I have been treated by an orthopedist, a physical theropist, a chiropractor and have a referal from my PCP. After several physical therapy sessions, resulting in little progress, the PT suggest the injury may have caused nerve damage. I called Dr Millar. During my first attempt for an appointment ... read more
I am now entering my 3rd year with Dr. Millar and NPC Heather Doyle. It did take me about 6 months for appt. That is normal. He went over all my tests and confirmed MS diagnosis. He started me on medication.Next I saw Ms. Doyle. I loved the connection she makes with you. I’m suppose to go back and forth between the both but I keep scheduling with her till I get called out. It’s nothing against Dr. Millar he is great. I usually gravitate towards the NPC and PA’s overall. My preference. Now, after your first visit you can set u... read more
Dr. Millar was thorough, efficient and caring. He was highly recommended and after our visit, I can see why. He probably saved my wife’s life by taking her off a drug that causes internal bleeding. He also is going to do further tests before he recommends a treatment plan for my wife’s neuropathy. We felt very fortunate to find a doctor of his caliber.
The initial visit was fine. After that they never answer phones and will never get back to you. My husband has Parkinson’s and trying to get information from him is terrible. His staff is rude and could care less about your concerns. Big mistake going to him. Never reevaluates him. We get… try different medication .. double your dosage. Don’t use him. My husband was diagnosed at UC Neurology Movement center and totally different care. Always called back to answer questions. Such great care there. What a big difference. I’ve ... read more
Dr Millar is great to work with. His staff are not. Which makes it very difficult to recommend this practice.
Office staff needs to go. They absolutely are indifferent and irresponsible and do NOT want to work. I tried to get an appointment...waited a week after my Dr referral...i called to check up on getting the appointment. They assured me, they were behind on referrals but would call me. ANOTHER week later...i call back. As the girl burps in my ear...she says with attitude...we ALREADY called the PCP to let them know the Dr won’t take your diagnosis. I asked what diagnosis as i am wanting to see him to GET a diagnosis. She said ... read more
