I had breast reduction surgery for increased neck & back pain and scoliosis. My experience from the start to finish was professional, caring and thorough. From the office staff, to Dr. Mandel himself, to the nurses and anesthesiologist at the hospital. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. I am more than satisfied with the outcome. Dr Mandel preformed a breast augmentation on me this spring. I could not be more pleased with the entire experience. I choose to go to him as his impressive training and education made him a safe choice. I also thought his artist background was a nice bonus. Dr Mandel is incredible kind and personable, and I felt cared for and safe throughout the whole process. I wanted a natural look and breasts that would not get in the way of my active lifestyle. He listened and I got exactly what I wanted.
I ended up with breast cancer, fortunately stage 1. I decided it would be good to get a breast reduction. Dr Mandel is a great listener and listened to me and my concerns especially with the cancer breast. He also does not act impatient with your questions...he is more than ready to answer them. He makes you feel at ease and that he will take great care of you. I asked him to take as much from my breasts as he could and he said he would as long as I would be safe. He did just that!
I was referred to Dr Mandel for surgical removal of a cancerous lesion on my face. It turned out to be spread out. I ended up having two large sites. (2x2” & 4” Dr. Mandel explained procedure, kept me informed and I was kept pain free. I was reassured that “he got all the cancer”. He sent specimens to have frozen sections to make sure the boarders were free of cancer. He was meticulous and patient with his suturing. I am pleased with surgery you can barely see a faint scar.

Dr. Mandel did my reduction surgery and its has literally made me feel 100% better!! The weight of my chest was causing many shoulder & back issues. I can honestly say today I have zero pain! It has been 8 months now & I have healed perfectly. My only regret is that I didn't have this done sooner. I highly recommend Dr. Mandel. He knows what he's doing!!
Very rude and demanding. I had ruptured silicone implants and the VA sent me to him to get them out. He would not try to find out what he had to about me through the VA and work with them. He had no clue what it means to be a veteran and did not care to find out. He acts like he runs the show and his nurse is worse than him. He forgets who is paying the bill.

Factors such as nicotine, infection, and new illnesses can increase general anesthetic risk and operative complications. Our protocols are based on current surgical and medical evidence, and are in place to optimize outcomes. I have treated many Veterans, and will continue to do so. Dr. Mandel was attentive, personable and thorough. I had skin cancer removed my face and facial reconstruction. The reconstruction was done very well. Very personable office staff also.
